Mr Fidelis Godpower Obi is the Group Finance Controller of Dunlop Nigeria Group.

He holds a Certificate in Accountancy from Worcester Technical College, Worcester, United Kingdom and a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from New Castle Upon Tyne Polytechnic, United Kingdom. He also holds an MBA from the University of Calabar. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and has attended various senior management programmes.
 
He had, before joining Dunlop Nigeria Plc in 1991 as Manager, Systems and Audit, served as Audit Manager at a firm of Chartered Accountants – Anjous Uku Eweka & Co between 1984 and 1990. He was Controller, Systems and Audit (1991 – 1992), Group Internal Auditor (1992 – 1994) and Financial Accountant (June 1994 – September 1997) respectively in Dunlop Nigeria Plc. Later, he served at DN Meyer Plc, formerly a subsidiary of Dunlop Group in Nigeria for one year (1997 – 1998), on secondment from Dunlop Nigeria Plc as Finance Controller and thereafter transferred to Pamol Nigeria Limited, another Dunlop Group subsidiary as Finance Director in 1998.

After effectively and successfully driving the financial and accounting system of Pamol Nigeria Limited for nine years, he returned to Dunlop Nigeria Plc in 2007 as the Chief Accountant. He was subsequently appointed Group Finance Controller of the Dunlop Nigeria Group in September, 2008.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). His hobbies include jogging and reading. Married with children.
