Dr. Albert Kolapo Popoola is the Director, Tyre Division of Dunlop Nigeria Group.

He is a Polymer Science graduate of the London Metropolitan University (formerly Polytechnic of North London) with First Class Honours. He also holds a Ph.D in Polymer Science and Technology from the same University. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and has attended leadership and management development programmes at Irish Management Institute, Ireland and London Management Centre, United Kingdom respectively.

 A seasoned scientist, who before joining Dunlop Nigeria Plc in 1975 as a Technical Assistant had served the tyre Company in varying and important positions. He was at various times, Manager, Process Development and Quality Control (1988-1990), Assistant Production Manager (1990-1994), Production Manager (1995-1999), General Manager, Works (2000-2003). He was appointed to the board of Dunlop Nigeria Plc as Director, Tyre Manufacturing in September, 2003. He was subsequently appointed Director, Tyre Division in August, 2008. As Director, Tyre Division, he has the overall responsibility for overseeing the activities of Technical, Engineering Centers, Tyre Marketing/Sales and Manufacturing.

A recipient of T.J. DRACKLEY PRIZE (1980), awarded to the student taking a full-time course in rubber/plastic technology who has done the most meritorious work in Chemistry. Award winner of BESTOBELL SEALS AWARD (1982), award to the best student specializing in rubbers and judged to have done the most meritorious work in the final year of the B.Sc honours degree course in Polymer Science and Technology.

His hobbies include reading, listening to music, playing piano, swimming and table tennis. He is married with children.
