
Mr Mohammed Jimoh Yinusa is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dunlop Group in Nigeria.
He is also the Chairman, Board of Directors of Pamol Nigeria Limited, the Calabar-based rubber business subsidiary of the Dunlop Nigeria Group.
He is an accounting graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds an MBA from the University of Ilorin. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and has attended strategic management and leadership programmes at Cranfield University, England, Templeton College, Oxford University, England and the Harvard Business School, USA respectively. He has for over 25 years garnered extensive experience in auditing/financial management, business consultancy, strategic planning, operations/marketing management and corporate leadership.
He had, before joining Dunlop Nigeria Plc in 1997 as Group Planning and Development Manager, served as General Manager and subsequently, Managing Director at Commercial and Scientific Computing Nigeria Limited between 1990 – 1997. Later, he served at DN Meyer Plc for five years (1998 – 2003), on secondment from Dunlop Nigeria Plc, first as Operations Director and thereafter as the Managing Director.
His years at DN Meyer witnessed the transformation of the Company from a tottering paints company to an industry pace – setter, leading to the Nigerian Stock Exchange Presidents' Awards for 2001 and 2003 performance in the Paints/Chemical/ Pharmaceutical sector. On the successful completion of his turn-around assignment at DN Meyer Plc and after Dunlop’s divestment from same in September 2003, he returned to Dunlop Nigeria Plc as Director of Tyre Operations and was later in 2005 appointed the Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer. As the Director of Tyre Operations at Dunlop, he successfully re-engineered the marketing operations of the Company for significant profitable growth. He was subsequently appointed Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the Dunlop Nigeria Plc in August, 2006.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management; an Associate Member of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, he is also an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Marketing and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria respectively. He was an honorary Treasurer of Paints Manufacturers Association and the Immediate Past Honourable President of Business Club, Ikeja (BCI). Member of Council, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN), Ikeja Branch; Member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association and Member of the National Council, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). He is also a Director of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
His hobbies include lawn/table tennis, reading and working on Computers. |
